LET US TEACH YOU THE ART OF SAILING!
You will receive your sailing classes on the magnificent catamaran Voyage Yacht, 43` long. Considered one the safest sailboats in the sailing world, as well as the best floating classroom due to its big comfortably cockpit, safety features and easy handling characterstics and at the same time ensuring maximum individual instructions and a job for everyone at all times.
Since courses are taught on a Catamran this means you will be receiving a bonus, this means you are getting the sailing basics the ones go for every sailing vessels (monohull) BUT with our course you will also learn all the procedures that are unique for sailing a Catamaran (multihull).
Courses are designed for any kind students going from kids to elderly as well as for women and men. You can choose to take a private course or take your course with 5 other students of your choice or we han schedule a group for you to join. we can also arrange a full package where you can take a course together with a sailing charter around Veraguas tropical islands.
We have very skilled instructors with many years of expericence teaching under the ASA (american Sailing Associaton) and ISA (International Sailing Association) standards, making your course the most complete and the most approved worldwide.
Our courses are based on a 4 day package, which means a liveaboard course, making you get involved on all the aspects of sailing.
this package is divided in 3 stages:
1. Introduction to Sailing:
The initial part of the course is the first day. Bascailly
getting to know the boat, safety on board as well as safety
procedures, Man Overboard drills, knowing the parts of the boat and
terminology, rules of the road, knots, reading weather and tides and
sail theory and practice.
2. Basic Coastal Cruising:
This course starts the second day, it basically preapres the sailor student to cruise safely for day sails in local waters or region, applying all the things learned on the Introduction To Sailing course. The use of Sailing charts, recording your time, safe anchoring, distress signals and mandatory safe equippment, reefing your sail and all the things that encompasses heavy weather sailing and new knots.
3. Advanced Sailor:
Our last and most importat stage is the Advance Sailing course. Here you will use all the amazing new things you learned the first two days and apply them to do a long cruise. Things like chart plotting, Dead reconing, mechanics of both inboard and outboard engines, electronics and basically live aboard principless.
